DEFRA Clarifies Guidance on EU Pet Passports Following the April 2026 EU Regulation Changes
APHA/DEFRA is aware that some GB residents may still be travelling using EU pet passports in practice. 🛑 What Is Changing? EU Pet Passports issued to UK residents will no longer be valid for entry into the EU. As of 22 April 2026, an EU pet passport issued to or held by a pet owner resident in UK will no longer be accepted for travel from UK to the EU.
