Planning a trip to the EU with your furry friend? Make sure you’re prepared for a hassle-free return to Great Britain! The Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) has put together a helpful checklist to ensure you meet all the necessary requirements and avoid delays at the border.
What You Need for Re-Entry
In summary, before heading back to Great Britain, make sure your dog, cat, or ferret has:
✅ The correct Animal Health Certificate
✅ A valid rabies vaccination
✅ (For dogs) Tapeworm treatment if required
You’ll also receive a link to the APHA checklist in your appointment reminder email, sent 24 hours before you collect your Animal Health Certificate.
